What can you do to protect your information?

Protecting your accounts doesn’t need to be complicated or time consuming. Sometimes a few simple changes can help keep your information more secure.

Passwords: Always try and choose strong passwords, these can be a combination of three random words and should include numbers or symbols for extra strength.

Always use a strong separate password for your email account.

Never tell anyone your password and always change a password if you think it is no longer secure.

Security questions: Try and choose a mix of questions that you think will be difficult for another person to guess the answers.

Logging out: Once you have finished a session, always remember to log out of any accounts which you have signed in to and ensure that any shared computer is not left unattended at any time.

Stay vigilant: Check that your software is up to date and use internet security software.
